My grandmother Hazel was a very organized woman. Everything had its place, her bank account was always reconciled to the penny and she would always have all her Christmas shopping done months in advance it seemed.
I think she started the day after Christmas!
Me on the other hand…. Not so much! I always have great intentions and great ideas and am so jealous of those who get it all done.
I end up feeling like a chicken with my head cut off and am rushing around like the crazy woman you see in those videos… my family will surely testify to this as they have to put up with me. Now somehow, I pull it off but not without a few melt downs.
Well this year I am beyond excited as for the first time in many years we will have ALL of our kids AND Grandkids home for Christmas.
Now that they are all grown and have families of their own this becomes a nearly impossible dream that is finally coming to reality and I can hardly contain myself.
Because of this I am committed to NOT procrastinating and having a stress-free Christmas.
In fact I already bought a couple gifts… forgot to hide them and a certain nosy little grandson (Jordon) found one already!
I am making my list… checking it twice…. Going through all my Christmas stuff and organizing it, pulling out my favorite recipes and created a Pinterest board.. uh oh!
So what do YOU do each year to prepare for the holidays and what is your favorite recipe? I am also looking for ideas of activities and family traditions you may have.
I would love to hear from you.
Shoot me an email, message me on Facebook or give me a call at 916-996-3777.
In the meantime, have a wonderful thanksgiving with those you care about!
